Villa wedding at Villa Furuvik, part 2
Have you already read the first part of this series of posts? You will find it from here.
Wedding blogger @matchista_morsian and an entrepreneur in the wedding industry @pastelgrafia Sonja organized her spouse
with a wedding at Villa Furuvik in July 2022! In this post, Sonja tells how hot it is
the wedding day at Villa Furuvik was successful, and how the entire villa and its milieu were used to advantage!
Our wedding day started for the groom and the entire wedding team at 07:00 when they arrived at Villa Furuvik
to complete the decoration. On behalf of Villa Furuvik, tables with cloths and chairs with chair covers
had already been arranged according to our wishes, and the wedding team had to do the setting, filling the bar,
placing the guest book and secret tasks in the bay window, i.e. the lounge, as well as cake decorations and
delivering scumbags to the kitchen. This was ready in less than two hours, wow! Many thanks
the forced decoration belongs to the people of Furuvik, as the tables and chairs are already ready by our
the group survived only with finishing work, after which the wedding morning could be spent in peace (or
less at ease if you happened to be on the bride's side getting ready).
The groom and the best men settled on the Villa's upper floor. Then it was time for the bride and groomsmen to go to the wedding venue,
because the first look shoot was wanted to take place in the courtyard of Villa Furuvik. The portraits were obtained
really versatile around the villa!
After the marriage ceremony, the wedding party started with a shower alley formed by the guests, which led to the magnificent
to the old stone stairs. On the landing, the apple tree and the balloons attached to it
in the shade we welcomed the guests and received congratulations. Finally, the official things were done
taken care of and the party could begin! With 55 guests, it only took about 15 minutes to line up for congratulations.
From the congratulatory line, the guests gathered directly on the terrace where the toasts were distributed, and we enjoyed
with my newly married spouse, a spontaneous short welcome speech, which neither of us remember
anything! After this, we moved inside, where a gift table was immediately placed on the porch and
a welcome sign and coat hangers to free guests' hands. We wanted to sit as a wedding couple
in the center of the ballroom, where we could see most of our guests directly from our seats, and
we were also able to admire what was so important to us from the window opening directly in front of us
seascape!
We used the side rooms so that the room closest to the kitchen served as a buffet
(for which the large oval-shaped table found there fits perfectly) and the closest to the ballroom
the room located served as a bar. Furuvik already has mini fridges
were great enough for the needs of our bar room, and the bestmans took care of filling them
throughout the day. Tip! In the evening, when moving the tables and chairs out of the way of the dance floor, it was easy to place them
to the green room when it was no longer used for serving food!
We guessed that our wedding day would be sunny, but the heat of +32 degrees still surprised us.
Fortunately for us, when choosing a party space, it was important that the outdoor spaces were comfortable and spacious, and wonderful
the garden was used a lot on the hot wedding day! During the breaks we dated
with guests outside, family and group photos were taken on the terrace and the swing of the pine tree and
the gazebo found at the back of the garden was also heavily used for filming and general purposes
for rejoicing.
Here are our tips for surviving a hot wedding day!
- If the day is sunny and warm, we recommend booking a lot of non-alcoholic drinks
something to drink.
- Place plenty of water glasses near the faucet in front of the toilets so that the water
chilling out and cooling off is easy for all guests!
- Small handy paper fans were also a salvation for many guests, and these were distributed by the wedding team
for guests in the church and at the place of celebration.
- In the joint transport from the church to the party venue, we offered everyone a bottle of Vichy, and this is what we got
special thanks!
The terrace of the yard was, as already mentioned, in heavy use, and for us the most important purpose of use was
wedding dance and evening live music playing and other dancing outside! Fortunately for us, this was successful
Well done on behalf of Furuvik and Duo Pietilä & Salomaa, and we got the wedding dance of our dreams no-so-
on a cooling summer evening with seagulls screeching and in the presence of all our loved ones.
During the dance break, my spouse and I went to the beach to relax for a while, and we took the evening off
last fun pictures with the Photographer. The moment was wonderful, and the seascape brought the situation to life
even more romance and a sense of peace. It felt like there were only the two of us, though
in fact, even a few guests took advantage of the dance break by cooling off on the beach.
The Hesburger hamburgers we ordered for dinner were served on the porch, and most of the guests enjoyed
them in the garden, before moving indoors when the party part of the evening begins! At this point
our wedding team had stealthily moved the tables and chairs in the front of the ballroom out of the way of the dance floor, and
we got to enjoy the wedding night dancing wildly and having fun until the wee hours of the morning.
However, one more thing was missing from the wedding day, namely a baptism in the Baltic Sea. At the end of the evening
from the pier, one bestman after another, and finally also the new husband, plunged into the sea. How
a great end to the wedding day of our dreams!
We cannot emphasize enough how big a role Villa Furuvik and Tea and Ann played
in the success of our wedding day. Thank you so much!
