Villa wedding at Villa Furuvik
Wedding blogger @matchista_morsian and an entrepreneur in the wedding industry @pastelgrafia Sonja organized her spouse
with a wedding at Villa Furuvik in July 2022! In this post, Sonja explains how and why they
ended up organizing a wonderfully warm garden wedding at Villa Furuvik.
We started planning our wedding in the middle of corona spring 2020 right after getting engaged, and for us
finding the perfect party venue was very important. We had several different criteria for the party venue,
and for this (also) reason, we wanted to lock down the party venue already 2 years before the wedding day. We wanted to
party venue from Helsinki by the sea, and the party venue had to have charisma and personality,
romance and beauty in itself. Villa Furuvik already charmed us with its pictures and very
on their comprehensive website (especially wonderful 3D model of the ballroom immediately gave us confirmation,
that this is a very potential party place)!
We visited Villa Furuvik for the first time on an open day about 2 years before
wedding day, and its courtyard and the whole milieu took our breath away. Especially the sandy beach, sweet
the beach sauna, the apple trees in the yard and the large terrace and the wonderful glass porch and the bay window of the villa were charming
straight from the yard. The old stone stairs also made us immediately visualize the implementation of the congratulatory queue
on a hot day in the shade of an apple tree (and this came true exactly as we had dreamed)!
When we got to the villa itself, we sighed with delight when we saw the ballroom with its wonderful windows
and coincidentally with walls painted in our favorite color. Also a pink and green side room
caused feelings of love (and how beautiful bathrooms can be)! We knew right away that
the search was over, and our party spot had been found.
So why did we choose Villa Furuvik to spend our dream wedding day?
- Our number of guests (less than 60 people) could sit in the ballroom just fine for the wedding meal.
- The beautifully and stylishly renovated villa was beautiful on the outside as well as inside.
- We were allowed to bring our own food and drinks into the space.
- The location in Helsinki was great, and the distance from our wedding church to Kallio was only about 20 by car
minutes.
- The service we received from Villa Furuvik's Tea and Ann was top class and we loved it
feeling that everything will work out great at our wedding!
We also wanted to share a few tips, what to take into account when planning or
in the booking phase, when you want to have your wedding at Villa Furuvik!
- The website has very comprehensive information about the premises and a super fine 3D model of the main hall!
– Villa Furuvik's garden sauna accommodation for 10 people is also possible
- Don't forget to also look at the other facilities belonging to Villa Furuvik, such as Seaside sauna and Hut,
they enable the wedding to have its own unique elements.
- The terrace of the villa can be used, for example, for a first look shoot, wedding,
including congratulatory toasts and welcome speech or summer evening dances
the wedding dance. You can also throw a bridal bouquet, a garter, a lure or anything else from the porch
change!
- The space has a good kitchen and its own entrance, so catering can work very well
discreetly and almost invisible throughout the day!
In the next post, I will tell you how our wedding day at Villa Furuvik went, and
for all the different purposes the villa's spaces and rooms were used!
